Meet the Opera Litter Puppies

Let’s go to the opera and learn more about the puppies and how they got their names! Not all opera connections are classical or direct. ;)
All Puppies have gone to their forever homes!

Beethoven - Chicago

Beethoven did opera? One. Fidelio, performed in Vienna in 1805. It went through 3 revisions and vexed him so much, that he vowed never to compose another.

Bobby Blue - Michigan

Bobby Blue, the son of Robert McFerrin, who was an operatic baritone, is best known for his song, "Don’t Worry, Be Happy."

Brigit - Iowa

Märta Birgit Nilsson, a Swedish dramatic soprano that sang a wide repertoire of operatic and vocal works, is best known for her performances in the operas of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss.

Maria - Iowa

Maria Anna Mozart, sister of the famous Wolfgang was an accomplished musician and taught lessons. Her brother is well known for his operas.

Matteo - Maryland

Matteo Bocelli, a singer and actor, is the son of Andrea Bocelli, a famous Tenor who has recorded 15 solo albums of both pop and classical music, three greatest hit albums and nine complete operas.

Victory - Maryland

Victory Brinker received the Guiness Book of World Records as the worlds youngest opera singer at the age of 7 years and 314 days old. Best known as the first ever Group Golden Buzzer winner and finalist on AGT.

Wolfgang - Mississippi

Wolfgane Amadeus Mozart, brother of Maria, wrote 800 works in virtually every genre of his time. Including 22 operatic works in many genres. Many of his operas have continue to be part of the repertoire of opera houses around the world.
